Terms and Conditions


Please read these terms and conditions carefully, if you do not agree with them, do not use this website. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. By using the jrt-feedsandcountrystore.co.uk website, you signify your agreement to be bound by these terms. We will endeavour to provide uninterrupted, error free access to the website, however this cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the Internet. Occasionally your access may be suspended or restricted to allow updates, upgrades or repairs; we will try to ensure that this is for the shortest time possible.

We may change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted on our website.
Failure by us to enforce any of these Terms and Conditions will not affect our right to enforce the rest of these terms and conditions.

Customer Orders

We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these terms and conditions.

To order goods on our website, you must accept delivery within the UK. All orders placed using our website will be acknowledged electronically by e-mail. Please note that verbal and/or electronic acknowledgements do not constitute order confirmation or order acceptance. Your order will be accepted and the creation of a legally binding contract between you and us will take place once the goods have been dispatched or collected. (Alternatively, we may decline all or part of your order for any reason, in which case we will inform you in-person or by telephone or e-mail).

When deciding whether or not to accept your order we may use certain information about you, including any received from credit reference agency checks. This helps to protect you and us against fraudulent transactions.
We will tell you if your payment details cannot be authorised for any reason and may invite you to pay by another method.


The total price payable will be stipulated at the time when you place your order whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been acknowledged.

We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.
Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If a product becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative or suggest that you (re-)visit our store.

On occasion, the prices payable and promotions offered in respect of goods advertised on the website may differ from those prices and promotions offered at the same time in-store. We are under no obligation to honour any in-store price or promotion in the event that they differ from those on the website. Similarly, our store is under no obligation to honour any website price or promotion in the event that they differ from that in-store.

Although we endeavour to ensure that all pricing information on the website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be mispriced. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price.

Prices that are reduced for sales and promotions are only valid for the specified period.

Order Processing *

Your order is sent directly to our secure till in our shop for processing. Once we have received your order and payment, our staff will pick, pack and dispatch the item. We will aim to do this the same day for all orders in to our shop Mon-Sat (excl Bank Holidays). *applies to all orders outside our Local Delivery Area.

You can track the progress of your order at any time by logging into My Account from the Home page on this website.

Payment Security (Sage Pay)

We use the industry leading internet payment company Sagepay to protect your card details and protect us from fraud. The following security systems are used.
Transaction security. All transaction information passed between merchant sites and the Sagepay VSP Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to your servers from Sagepay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the Sagepay servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Encryption and Data Storage. All sensitive data is secured on Sagepay using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign’s Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.

Links to banks. Sagepay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.

Employee access. No individuals within jrt-feedsandcountrystore.co.uk or Sagepay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. Our systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your transaction information and customer card information is secure even form our own employees because our systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.

Gift vouchers can easily be redeemed at the checkout by typing in the two codes printed on the gift voucher in the clearly marked boxes on the checkout page. A voucher can be used as full or part payment. If you do not use up the full amount of your voucher in one transaction our computer system will automatically calculate how much remains on the voucher so as the same codes can be used in your next transaction.

Delivery and Collection
Delivery Information

We offer several delivery or collection options at the Shopping Basket stage of this website.

1: Collect From Store (select this option to Collect both Bulky and non Bulky goods).
Using the Collection option there is obviously no delivery charge, we will endeavour to have your order ready for collection on the day you specify subject to our usual opening hours.

 Orders must be received at least 24hours prior to the anticipated collection time to ensure the goods are ready for dispatch.

We would like to encourage this service; especially for collection on Saturdays,
Our Saturday Take-away service will provide the customer with a fast drive-in style service; your pre ordered and paid for goods will be palletized by us and taken to your vehicle upon arrival at our store. 

This service is not exclusive to only Saturdays; please specify your collection day/date at the Check-Out stage of the website when placing your order.

2: Local Delivery Only (select this option to have delivered both Bulky and non Bulky goods).
Our Local Delivery service is restricted to the postcode areas listed below.
Using this option there is a delivery charge of £0.25 per item selected, this will be added on to your order at the checkout stage.

There is No minimum delivery amount using this option, however, we operate a specific delivery Day / Area system. I.e. (we will only deliver when our vehicle is usually in your area).

Please see below for when we deliver to each area.

Orders must be received at least 24hours prior to your specific delivery Day / Area to ensure you receive your goods in time. We cannot guarantee delivery days if orders are late being submitted.

If for any reason we cannot fulfil your delivery on your expected day we will try to notify you and deliver as soon as possible thereafter.

3: Express Local Delivery (select this option to have delivered both Bulky and non Bulky goods).

Local Delivery is an additional cost delivery service restricted to the postcode areas listed below.

Customers must select this Delivery Option at the shopping basket stage of the order process. Using this option there is a delivery charge of £0.25 per item selected, this will be added on to your order at the shopping basket stage. In addition there will be a delivery surcharge of £15.00 for this Express service, again added at the shopping basket stage.

please specify your required delivery day/date at the Check-Out stage of the website when placing your order.
This additional service ensures that we will deliver on the day you specify.

Our definition of “Delivery” under option 2 and 3 is that we will only carry goods a maximum of 3 metres from our delivery vehicle and stack no higher than waist height. Customers should also note that our delivery vehicle cannot leave a hard surface and should consider their storage arrangements in view of this.

4: UK Mainland (select this option for non Bulky goods only and outside our Local delivery area)
Our UK Mainland Delivery is a nationwide service charged at £6.00 per order.
All quoted delivery prices are for most UK Mainland addresses. Northern Ireland (BT), Isle of Wight (PO30-37), Isle of Man (IM), Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles (PA, ML, EH, KA, G, KY, PH, DD, AB, IV, KW), Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE) will incur additional charges and may also experience delivery delays
 Your order will usually be sent via 2 – 3 day delivery service. Once you have placed an order it will be dispatched the same day or the next day depending on the time the order was placed. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been dispatched, you will be charged for both delivery and collection cost.
If you are unavailable when our delivery partner tries to deliver your order, they will usually try to deliver again the next working day or they will drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred.

5: UK Non Mainland(select this option for non Bulky goods only and outside our Local delivery area)
Our UK Non Mainland Delivery is for post codes outside  UK Mainland areas, service charged at £13.00 per order.

6: Europe
Select this option for orders to Europe, service charged at £18.00 per order.

7: Worldwide
Select this option for orders worldwide, service charged at £32.00 per order.


All information provided on the products on this website is intended as a guide only. Dimensions and weights are only approximate, as are colours. If you are ordering goods that are out of stock we will dispatch them when they are received from our supplier.
On occasion goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. As such, delivery cannot be guaranteed and any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods.


Any unwanted items must be sent back at the customer’s expense in original packaging and condition (I.e. labels intact).

If you are unhappy with the goods received we will refund them if they are sent back at the customer’s expense in new resalable condition within 7 working days along with the original receipt.

We suggest for your own protection you use 1st class registered post.
It is your responsibility to obtain proof of postage as should a returned parcel become damaged or lost we do not compensate. You will be responsible for the cost of returning cancelled or unwanted goods.

Any refunds will be issued once we have received the goods, in their original unsoiled condition. This refund only includes the total of goods sent not the delivery charge.

We will not charge a restocking fee for returned items.
Any goods with manufacturing faults on arrival will be replaced or refunded.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

We do not pass your personal information on to third parties.

All transactions that you initiate with jrt-feedsandcountrystore.co.uk on this web site are confidential. Your name will not be added to any third party mailing lists.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998, we have a duty to protect any information we collect from you. It will not be disclosed to any other organisation unless you give explicit permission, or there is a legal obligation to do so. We collect information about you for two main reasons:
